There are 2 different viable strats for chains. Uptime chains, which is what I've got on my toolboxes, offers full uptime for both tank and Melee, and is 100% viable for the fight. There is also what I call Safety chains. This involves the tank having a harder time with uptime, but Specifically for Bounds of Sin + Searing Chains, provides more reliable chain breaks, as you dont have half a second where 2 people tethered together are moving in the same direction. Both strats have their advantages, and neither is objectively worse.
