What is roleplay in your own words? And what RP experience do you have? (doesn't have to be FiveM but please include how long you’ve been on FiveM) Roleplaying is the term used when playing as a character. Roleplay is about character interactions, creating fun interesting scenarios for everyone and about developing your character. I have quite a lot of experience when it comes to roleplay with my first ever experience of a roleplay server being on Arma 2. Since then I have roleplayed on other games such as gmod and of course Fivem. I have over 2000 hours on fivem with most of the hours being spent on an RP server. A player comes up pulls a gun on you inside the clothing store and demands you hand over your keys/weapon and any cash you have on you. What would you do? Be as detailed as possible, one or two-line answers will not be accepted. The clothing store is a no crime zone and someone shouldn't be robbing there. If a player came up to me inside of a clothing store demanding money I would go with the RP until the situation has ended, ensuring to remain in character. Once the situation is over I would then report the situation to staff and let them deal with it. You walk out the back exit of the car dealership when a vehicle comes out of nowhere and hits you. The player stops the vehicle after hitting you to roleplay that they hit you. How would you proceed? Be as detailed as possible. (One or two line answers won't be accepted) If a vehicle had hit me I would RP as being injured and make use of /me's to show injuries. Assuming that an ambulance had been called I would keep up the RP with paramedics again making use of /me show injuries so that the paramedic could assess the level of my injuries and get me to hospital. A player comes up pulls a gun on you at the docks and demands you to put your hands up. What would you do? Be as detailed as possible, one or two-line answers will not be accepted. If someone held me at gunpoint demanding money I would comply with their commands as I would be under FearRP. I would try my best to RP as surprised and scared ensuring to follow all orders given until the gunman goes away. Afterwards, I might phone the police to report what happened. What is the definition of metagaming in your own words? Metagaming is the act of using information acquired OOC to your advantage IC. E.g. Conversing via discord to gain the location of a drug area or watching a live stream to find the location of a person. What is RDM in your own words and provide 2 examples? RDM is Random DeathMatch. RDM is the act of randomly killing another person without IC justification, reason or prior initiation from the victim. E.g. Randomly pulling up beside a police car and shooting the police officer because you don't like the police or randomly stabbing someone on the street for no reason. What is VDM in your own words and provide 2 examples? VDM is the same concept as RDM however is the act of using a vehicle as a weapon in order to kill another player or cause damage to another players vehicle. Eg. Using a car to run someone over that you don't like or using your vehicle to cause damage to another vehicle without reason. What is NLR (include time) and provide one example? NLR stands for New Life Rule. NLR comes into effect whenever a player is killed and spawns at the hospital. E.g. You get killed by someone after an altercation, you must forget the altercation and the person that killed you. The time for NLR is 30 mins, you cannot interact with the person for 30 mins or return to the area where you got killed. Do you understand No Crime Zone and what are TPRPs No crime zones? Yes, a No Crime Zone is an area where actions considered as crimes are not allowed to be committed. The Current No Crime Zones are Character creation spawn, Clothing Stores, Car Shops & Barber Shops. What is FailRP and provide 2 examples? FailRP is the act of carrying out what could be considered unrealistic rp/things that wouldn't happen irl. E.g. Falling from a great height and not roleplaying injuries or unrealistically driving a supercar offroad or over jumps. What is Power gaming and provide 1 example? Powergaming is the act of forcing RP actions upon someone without giving them a chance to react e.g. /me pulls a knife out from his pocket and slits your throat. This would be considered powergaming as the victim wasn't given a chance to respond to the /me. Instead, you should do /me takes a knife from pocket attempting to raise it to your throat... this gives the victim a chance to react to the /me. What is FearRP and provide 1 example? FearRP is fearing for your life. E.g. when getting held at gunpoint/knifepoint you should follow all orders given. You would be in violation of FearRP if, under gunpoint, you decided to pull out a weapon to kill the person with the gun. In your own words, explain what in character (IC) and out of character (OOC) means? IC stands for In Character and is the term used for any interactions/events carried out in-game whilst playing as a character. OOC stands for Out of Character and is the term used when you are not in RP, for example, using OOC or asking for help with a problem non-ic related. When do you feel you should use OOC in-game? You should always remain IC whenever in-game regardless of what happens. The only time you should go OOC is if given permission from a staff member or to use OOC chat on occasions.
