OPERATOR STATUS Code - Description • Cancelled Person cannot apply for a driver’s license in this state. This could be due to a problem with the license transaction. • Surrendered Lic Out of State Person surrendered Missouri license to another state. Person can legally operate a motor vehicle in this state using the out-of-state license. • Denied Person’s driving privilege to operate a motor vehicle in this state is denied. The driver is not valid to drive. • Reinstated – Must Test Person’s driving privilege is reinstated, but he/she must pass the required driver’s license examinations and apply for a Missouri driver license before being legally able to operate a motor vehicle. • Other Not Valid Person’s privilege to operate a motor vehicle is currently not valid. The license was voluntarily surrendered. • Revoked Person’s privilege to operate a motor vehicle is revoked. The driver is not valid to drive. • Suspended Person’s privilege to operate a motor vehicle is suspended. The driver is not valid to drive. • Valid Person can legally operate a motor vehicle. OPERATOR STATUS Code - Description • Valid – (Reg Only) Person can legally operate a motor vehicle, but the registration of the vehicle is under suspension. • Valid Expired Person cannot legally operate a motor vehicle until he/she renews license. • Walk-In Reinstated Must Test Person’s driving privilege is reinstated, but he/she must pass the required driver’s license examinations and apply for a Missouri driver license before being legally able to operate a motor vehicle. • Walk-In Valid Person can legally operate a motor vehicle. COMMERCIAL STATUS Code - Description • Cancelled Person’s commercial (Class A, B, or C) driving privilege has been cancelled due to re-testing requirements or for expired Medical Certification information. • Cancelled CDL Person’s privilege to operate a commercial (Class A, B, or C) motor vehicle is cancelled. • Surrendered Lic Out of State Person surrendered Missouri Class A, B, or C license to another state. Person can legally operate a motor vehicle in this state using the out-of-state license. • Denied Person’s driving privilege to operate a commercial (Class A, B, or C) motor vehicle is denied. Upon completion of the disqualification period, the person will not be required to re-test. The driver is not valid to drive a commercial motor vehicle. • Restored – Must Test Person’s driving privilege is restored, but he/she must pass the required driver’s license examinations and apply for a Missouri driver license before being legally able to operate a motor vehicle. The driver is not valid to drive a commercial motor vehicle. SCHOOL BUS STATUS Code - Description • Invalid Person is not eligible to operate a school bus. • Valid Person can operate a school bus based on class of license shown on record. • None Person has never been issued a school bus permit and is not eligible to operate a school bus. LICENSE CLASSIFICATIONS Class - Description • Class A Any combination of vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or a registered gross weight of 26,001 or more pounds provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds. (Holders of a Class A license may also, with any appropriate endorsements, operate all vehicles within Classes B and C.) • Class B Any single vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or a registered gross weight of 26,001 or more pounds or any such vehicle towing a vehicle not in excess of 10,000 pounds GVWR. (Holders of a Class B license may also, with any appropriate endorsements, operate all vehicles within Class C.) • Class C Any single vehicle less than 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR or any such vehicle towing a vehicle not in excess of 10,000 pounds GVWR. The driver is not valid to drive. • Active – Denovo Person’s driving privilege is currently under suspension/revocation/denial. The driver is not valid to drive unless a Restricted Driving Privilege has been issued. • Active – Petition Review Person’s driving privilege is currently under suspension/revocation/ disqualification/denial. The driver is not valid to drive. • Informational Action description is provided for informational purposes only. The driver is not eligible to receive a MO license. This is information for MO only. It is not transmitted to other states. • Awaiting Processing Action (license suspension/revocation/denial) is not yet in effect.
